Hans Rotenberry was rock 'n roll when rock 'n' roll wasn't retro.

Though British Invasion and classic rock influences are apparent in his music, Rotenberry's inspired songwriting, unaffected voice, and sparkling wit shine through to create a style that is uniquely his own.

Rotenberry has managed to release five albums of timeless and consistently great material with his band without the aid of a major label or substantial commercial airplay, and is considered to have started Nashville’s power pop scene when he debuted The Shazam in 1995.


In 2010, Hans and his long-time friend, 4-time Shazam producer Brad Jones released "Mountain Jack," a 10-song collaboration.
